Amigurumi Pink Leaf Rustler
Finally sorted myself out tonight and got this little Amigurumi Leaf Rustler up and listed on etsy. :) Been meaning to do it for the last couple of weeks or so now. Was quite pleased with how she came out and got to use some of my new yarn too. :)
She's up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

Introducing Mia the Monkey
It's been a long time since I've introduced a new monkey to my collection. :) I'm happy to do so today. This is Mia.
Mia the Monkey is a very dreamy and whimsical little monkey. She loves to drift off into daydreams and mostly lives in a world of her own.
Mia is hoping to find a comfy home where she will be loved but can also daydream in peace. She is up for adoption at my etsy shop.

Amigurumi Polar Bear
Just a quick blog update tonight as I have to go out soon. I wanted to do a quick entry about another of my winter themed amigurumi critters and this time it's a polar bear. :) I've just listed it at my etsy shop so it's up for adoption and looking for a good home.

Amigurumi Robin
Continuing with another of my more winter themed amigurumis this is a little robin I made. Quite an obvious idea after making so many owls recently. :) I actually can't believe we're well into November already! :O I'd better get a move on listing some of my other ones.
Anyway, the robin is up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

The Travelling Meerkat Comes to Visit....
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the adorable knitted meerkats from Nifty Knits. Well, as part of the Etsy Treasury Team Nifty has prepared two of her cutest baby meerkats for a global tour. :)
Nifty (better known as Heather Leavers) has sent out two of her little creations to become globe trotting adventurers. They will be meeting many of the ETTEAM (Etsy Treasury Team) members and learning something about their craft, or where they live and just having fun. Maybe even picking up a souvenir or two on the way.
Once home from their adventures the meerkats and their souvenirs will be up for a very cool giveaway hosted by the Etsy Treasury Team Blog. :)
So with all this in mind it was with great anticipation that a little meerkat was coming to the residence of Cute Designs for a visit. :D
Excitement was in the air as all my little crochet critters gathered themselves for a formal welcoming of little baby meerkat whose name is "Treasure" by the way. :) It was to be a very special occasion as none of them had met a meerkat before...
And then the moment arrived when little Treasure was warmly greeted by my formal spokesmonkey Marvin as they shook hands, big smiles and then the party began. :)
It was during the party that little Treasure began to realise that soon it would be travelling even longer journeys... alone.... and after making so many new friends this was quite a sombre thought for the little meerkat and one I wanted to help with so together we began the task of making Treasure a little travelling companion...
Treasure sat patiently in my yarn and helped when it could watching and taking in the slightly familiar process of a travelling buddy...
Gradually it started to come together although Treasure seemed to be getting a little confused with the anatomy of it's friend and thought it was a hat!
But after a little more crocheting and some help from Treasure a little amigurumi acorn arrived and will now be travelling with Treasure as a souvenir and a friend to keep it company on the long journey.
It's been a pleasure to host Treasure the travelling baby meerkat. :) Soon it will head off to it's next place... somewhere around the world and I send it lots of fond farewells. :)

The "Enchanted Forest" Collection
A few weeks ago I started crocheting owls and I loved making them, loved the selection of browns and also the photos taken outside. It was this that started off something new in my mind about a new range of creatures and that's how my "Enchanted Forest" collection begun.
From doodling little creatures on bits of paper to free-styling with yarn I'm really enjoying the outcome so far. :) The story goes...
Alongside our world a parallel world exists, rarely known to anyone. With every full moon a gateway is briefly unlocked between our world and the “Enchanted Forest”– a mysterious world that is home to little creatures who resemble some of the much-loved animals in our own… only with a difference.
This is a Leaf Rustler, rare to find as they are shy creatures who conceal themselves under fallen leaves and quickly scurry away if discovered. If you ever hear rustling in the autumn leaves, tread carefully as it may be one of these little critters.
Up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

It's November! :O Can't believe we're in November already! This year is just going so quickly now! I thought I would celebrate the start of it with posting another one of my winter themed critters and here is a little black penguin I made. :)
I love penguins, they're so cute. :D
