Amigurumi Pink Leaf Rustler
Finally sorted myself out tonight and got this little Amigurumi Leaf Rustler up and listed on etsy. :) Been meaning to do it for the last couple of weeks or so now. Was quite pleased with how she came out and got to use some of my new yarn too. :)
She's up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

Introducing Mia the Monkey
It's been a long time since I've introduced a new monkey to my collection. :) I'm happy to do so today. This is Mia.
Mia the Monkey is a very dreamy and whimsical little monkey. She loves to drift off into daydreams and mostly lives in a world of her own.
Mia is hoping to find a comfy home where she will be loved but can also daydream in peace. She is up for adoption at my etsy shop.

Amigurumi Polar Bear
Just a quick blog update tonight as I have to go out soon. I wanted to do a quick entry about another of my winter themed amigurumi critters and this time it's a polar bear. :) I've just listed it at my etsy shop so it's up for adoption and looking for a good home.

Amigurumi Robin
Continuing with another of my more winter themed amigurumis this is a little robin I made. Quite an obvious idea after making so many owls recently. :) I actually can't believe we're well into November already! :O I'd better get a move on listing some of my other ones.
Anyway, the robin is up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

The Travelling Meerkat Comes to Visit....
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the adorable knitted meerkats from Nifty Knits. Well, as part of the Etsy Treasury Team Nifty has prepared two of her cutest baby meerkats for a global tour. :)
Nifty (better known as Heather Leavers) has sent out two of her little creations to become globe trotting adventurers. They will be meeting many of the ETTEAM (Etsy Treasury Team) members and learning something about their craft, or where they live and just having fun. Maybe even picking up a souvenir or two on the way.
Once home from their adventures the meerkats and their souvenirs will be up for a very cool giveaway hosted by the Etsy Treasury Team Blog. :)
So with all this in mind it was with great anticipation that a little meerkat was coming to the residence of Cute Designs for a visit. :D
Excitement was in the air as all my little crochet critters gathered themselves for a formal welcoming of little baby meerkat whose name is "Treasure" by the way. :) It was to be a very special occasion as none of them had met a meerkat before...
And then the moment arrived when little Treasure was warmly greeted by my formal spokesmonkey Marvin as they shook hands, big smiles and then the party began. :)
It was during the party that little Treasure began to realise that soon it would be travelling even longer journeys... alone.... and after making so many new friends this was quite a sombre thought for the little meerkat and one I wanted to help with so together we began the task of making Treasure a little travelling companion...
Treasure sat patiently in my yarn and helped when it could watching and taking in the slightly familiar process of a travelling buddy...
Gradually it started to come together although Treasure seemed to be getting a little confused with the anatomy of it's friend and thought it was a hat!
But after a little more crocheting and some help from Treasure a little amigurumi acorn arrived and will now be travelling with Treasure as a souvenir and a friend to keep it company on the long journey.
It's been a pleasure to host Treasure the travelling baby meerkat. :) Soon it will head off to it's next place... somewhere around the world and I send it lots of fond farewells. :)

The "Enchanted Forest" Collection
A few weeks ago I started crocheting owls and I loved making them, loved the selection of browns and also the photos taken outside. It was this that started off something new in my mind about a new range of creatures and that's how my "Enchanted Forest" collection begun.
From doodling little creatures on bits of paper to free-styling with yarn I'm really enjoying the outcome so far. :) The story goes...
Alongside our world a parallel world exists, rarely known to anyone. With every full moon a gateway is briefly unlocked between our world and the “Enchanted Forest”– a mysterious world that is home to little creatures who resemble some of the much-loved animals in our own… only with a difference.
This is a Leaf Rustler, rare to find as they are shy creatures who conceal themselves under fallen leaves and quickly scurry away if discovered. If you ever hear rustling in the autumn leaves, tread carefully as it may be one of these little critters.
Up for adoption at my etsy shop. :)

Amigurumi Black Penguin
It's November! :O Can't believe we're in November already! This year is just going so quickly now! I thought I would celebrate the start of it with posting another one of my winter themed critters and here is a little black penguin I made. :)
I love penguins, they're so cute. :D

Is it Winter yet?
It doesn't seem very wintery to me as it still seems pretty mild at the moment. The weather is a little rainy at times here in the UK but not too cold, doesn't feel like we're about to say goodbye to October and hello to November.
Anyway, I thought I would introduce you to my first wintery themed offering of a little snowy owl which can be adopted at my etsy shop. :) I love making the other owls and thought it would be cool to make a snowy one to add to the collection.

Rainbow Bunny Blobs
I finally finished making all of my Rainbow Bunny Blobs. :) I've been gradually making them inbeween making Autumn and Wintery type critters. I had a lot of fun making them, mainly because I got to use colour yarns that I rarely get to use. :D
I love seeing them all together, they look so fun and bright. :D All will be available on my etsy shop although I'm listing them gradually.

Amigurumi Skull Pin Cushion
I felt like making something a little bit different and decided on a pin cushion, no idea why but it was fun to make. :) I decided on making a skull one since it seemed quite fitting with it coming up to Halloween and all. No idea if people will like it but it's up and available on my etsy shop if interested.

Getting ready for winter. :)
Doh! I haven't updated for a while, sorry about that. I kept meaning to especially since I reached 200 sales at my etsy shop. :D This was something I was immensely proud of but then I got busy and didn't get a chance to blog about it. So I'll do some late celebrations now. :) *does a happy dance*
I've been designing and starting to make some new winter themed designs. :) I'm having fun with this as it's nice to be doing something new. I'm looking forward to finishing them ready to be photographed and then eventually putting them up for adoption in my shop. Watch this space. :)

For my love of yarn....
I've not been very well since Monday as I came down quite suddenly with a pretty bad cold / cough / sore throat thing. I'm so rarely ill and usually shake things off pretty quickly but this one really got me this time. :( Still, even though not fully recovered yet I'm much better now.
I've not felt much like crocheting this week and spent a lot of time playing my Nintendo DS. (Just completed The World Ends With You today and recommend it). :) But my boyfriend treated me today to a new storage thingie for my yarn. :) This is what I've been spending part of my afternoon setting up.
I'm so chuffed with it and it's much better than my last one which I'd outgrown i suppose by gradually getting more and more yarn. :) Much tidier. I couldn't fit all of it in the picture though as it it a little taller but you get the idea.

Amigurumi Panda
Recently I watched Kung Fu Panda for the first time - hadn't seen it before but I think pandas are so cute. After that it made me want to crochet a panda and I ended up with this little thing. :) It's available for adoption at my etsy shop of course. :)
It's only the second panda I've made and the first one was done over a year ago now. Was nice to do something different. :)

Lucky little owl
My amigurumi grey owl seems to be bringing me some good luck this weekend. :) Yesterday I woke up to discover it in the gift guide on etsy and now it's on the etsy front page. :D
That was good timing actually as I'd been watching a film this morning and it finished so I had lunch, thought I'd see what was going on in the world of etsy and there it was, on the front page. Woo hoo! :D Managed to get a screen grab before it goes. :)

A nice surprise and freebies on offer. :)
I woke up to a lovely surprise this morning. :) I woke up to discover that my Amigurumi Grey Owl is in the Halloween Trends Gift Guide on etsy. :) I'm so chuffed as that doesn't happen to me very much at all.... in fact only once before so it got my day off to a great start.
And because I'm feeling so happy I've also decided to offer some freebies from my etsy shop. :) I'm near approaching 200 sales and I thought it would be nice to give away freebies to my next ten customers. So if you've been thinking about buying anything now would be a cool time to do it as you'll get that and then a little something cute as a freebie. Can't be bad! :)

Amigurumi Acorn
Following on from my autumn owl post last time I thought I would introduce my little amigurumi acorn. :) I like acorns and had fun making this little one, now available on my etsy shop.
I had hoped to make a couple more in different shades of brown but not had a chance yet but maybe over the weekend I will get there. :)

Amigurumi Owls
It has gradually been getting a little colder and getting darker earlier in the evenings now, a sure sign that summer is coming to an end and autumn is on its way. :) I quite like autumn although winter is my favourite season.
Over the weekend I have been crocheting some owls. I've been wanting to do owls for a little while but kept forgetting, now seemed the perfect time to make them to hopefully add a touch of autumn to my etsy shop. :) They're available now for adopting.
I made a few colours and tried a couple with the little "ears" and one without for some variety. Took a trip out into the back garden for photos this time to make a change, I think they came out ok. :) So much so that I used one to create a new banner for my etsy shop - nice to have a change. :)

Amigurumi Grey Elephant
After teaching myself the basic stitches the very first thing I ever crocheted was an elephant. :) I followed an over complicated pattern in a book and struggled at times but got there in the end with it. I guess it turned out ok for a first attempt but it looked a little Wonky so therefore I called it Wonky. I still have it as I think it's nice to keep your first ever creation.
Since then I'd never ventured back to making an elephant until recently when I came up with this little one. It was free styled, no pattern used at all, just me seeing what I came up with. This time I'm not keeping it and it can be adopted at my etsy shop here. :)

Amigurumi Skeleton
I know Halloween is still a long way off yet but we get such little time to think about it and make stuff that we might not usually think of so why not start now? :)
I made a little Amigurumi Skeleton and thought I'd share him on my blog. He can be adopted at my etsy shop here. :)

Amigurumi Mother and Baby Bunnies
I've still been having fun making my little amigurumi bunnies. :) I suddenly decided it could look quite cute to make a baby one to match the bigger mum ones. :) So I've been making mother and baby bunny sets.
The baby ones are so cute and ickle to make. I am loving these bunnies. :D They can be adopted at my etsy shop.

Amigurumi Bunny Rabbits
I've been making little Amigurumi Bunnies over the weekend. :) I wanted a design that was fairly simple without many limbs but still (hopefully) appealing to look at. Sometimes I dislike sewing limbs on, it's my least favourite part! Just makes a change to create a few things where you don't have to do much of it. :P
I've enjoyed making these little bunnies though and they look quite cute sitting there together, I want to make more in other brighter colours too. They can be adopted from my etsy shop. :)

Bitten by the Kawaii-Bug
I've finally got around to starting up a blog I've been meaning to do for ages. :) I love looking at all the cool stuff out there that people make and want to feature more of it, I sort of started doing on here a while ago but I don't think it fitted right. So I started up a new blog called Kawaii-Bug. Please pop over and give it a visit if you have time. :)
I'm hoping to make regular updates to it.

Amigurumi Aqua Happy Gappy Monster
Meet the Happy Gappy Monster - happy by name and gappy by nature, bless him. :) He's fun though and very friendly. I thought it would be fun to make a monster and this was what I ended up with.
He's up for adoption at my etsy shop here. :)

Charm-ing! :)
I'm happy to blog that Cute Designs now has a new category of Kawaii Supply Charms. Lately I have been enjoying making little fimo charms and turning them into mobile phone charms, especially cupcake charms. :) I love cupcakes!
I thought I would open up a new shop section incase people were interested in purchasing charms for their own craft projects. These are just a few to get the new section open but I have many more planned and coming soon. :)

Amigurumi Cocoa Bears
I'm happy to be introducing Cocoa Bears to Cute Designs. :) I hadn't made any traditional looking bears for a while so thought I would have a go and brown being the obvious colour for a bear of course.
Didn't take me long to think brown - chocolate - cocoa... :) Hope you like them, it's been fun making them. They are available to adopt at http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk and my etsy shop. :)

Amigurumi Little Lambs
I love lambs and sheep and think they look so cute all out in the fields together. :) With this in mind I had to have a go at making little lambs and I was pleased with how they came out. Small but full of cute. :)
They can be adopted from http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk or from my etsy shop. :)

Little Plush Panda
I hadn't made anything purely out of felt for quite a while so I thought I'd make something new and fun and instead of doing my large plushies I thought I'd make something smaller. :)
I came up with this little cute Panda which can be found in my etsy shop here. :)
I quite enjoyed making it and might make other animals in a similar way.

Amigurumi Guinea Pig
Some time ago I was asked to do a custom order for a guinea-pig. I love guinea-pigs and have owned several over the years so I jumped at the chance of creating one as I hadn't made one before. :)
I was pleased with how it came out and meant to do more of them but then got caught up with other projects and forgot. I remembered about then again as I was watching the trailer for the new film G-Force which is out soon so I decided to make another guinea-pig and you can find it on my etsy shop here. :)
I think guinea-pigs have the cutest little faces! :D I want to make more in other colours.

Chocolate Sandwich Cake
I hadn't done any baking for a little while as it's just been too hot here lately to have the oven on for long. But now that it's cooler I thought I'd make something and opted for a chocolate sponge cake with icing. Mmmmm......
Haven't made a sandwich cake for years so made a change, I think it came out ok. Tastes nice anyway. :P

Amigurumi Grey and White Cat
Here's another little amigurumi critter I made before I went away. :) This time it's a cat and the huge eyes on it make me smile. :D
It's available to adopt from my etsy shop here.

Amigurumi Pink and Yellow Monkey
I've been busy trying to get some of my crochet animals back in stock as well as making more fimo charms.
But in the meantime until I get those finished here's a little pink and yellow crochet monkey I completed a while ago but didn't get a chance to list before I went on holiday. :)
It can be found at my etsy shop here.

New look to Cute Designs...
I've been quite busy since my last update. I had a week away on holiday which was lovely. And then I came home to deciding that I wanted to re-do my website. So over the last couple of weeks or so I have been quite busy setting it all up and just finished uploading it all last night. :)
Please if you have a moment to go and take a look, browse around and perhaps even sign my current unloved looking guestbook? The link is http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk
Fanku. :)

Amigurumi Kawaii Sheep
New to my etsy shop is this loveable sheep which enjoys going for walks around pretty green fields and admiring the countryside. :)
I've been meaning to do a sheep for ages as I love them and I was pleased with how it came out. :)

Another Kawaii Summer Bear - Pink and Green
Just lately I've been enjoying using really bright coloured yarns together to crochet things. I think it's the nice summer weather we've been having lately that's just making me want to create these bright things. :)
So here's another little bright summer bear new on my etsy shop. :)

Amigurumi Petite Pigs
New to my etsy shop - Petite Pigs. :)
Petite Pigs love nothing more than a gossip and giggle with each other. They also love to snack on chocolate drops and have a wallow in melted chocolate. :)
