Never enough time...
Do you ever feel that you can spend so much time online doing various things to promote your craft/shop that you don't get so much time to actually make stuff? :) I used to feel a bit like that until I decided to cut down on some of the forums/websites I used to visit. Just couldn't fit it all in.
I do still make time to update my blog here though and twitter and facebook but I wish I could do more. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day.
Today (with a little help from some monkey friends) I decided to have a bit of a sort out with some of the blogs I've been meaning to bookmark for ages. I'm sure I've probably missed a few out though but I'm going to try and follow them on a more regular basis now.
Crochet wise I've been doodling some ideas as I've had a few going round my head. :) I'm quite excited about them although not sure if I'll be able to get them to work yet. I've started on one and it's going ok so far. Will hopefully get them finished with some piccies soon.

Inside Crochet magazine
Yay I'm so happy to blog today about my crochet being in a magazine. :) This is a first for me. :) The magazine is called Inside Crochet and it's the latest issue (issue 7) which has just gone on sale this week.
It's my Amigurumi Monkey Mia and guinea-pig which have been used in the "Things We Like" section. So pleased to see it there. I've just scanned it in and added it to my main website too at http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk/. Good magazine too, I recommend it. :)

New look for Cute Designs
I spent a lot of yesterday getting my website finished so I could upload it. It's been in the pipeline for months now but it was just getting the time to do it and for my boyfriend to help with the design part and then putting in all the content.
So it was good to get it done and uploaded yesterday evening. :) I just wanted a site that was relatively simple, easy to update and that shows pretty much all that I do as I've not had that before. :) If you have a spare moment check it out at http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk/

New look to Cute Designs...

I've been quite busy since my last update. I had a week away on holiday which was lovely. And then I came home to deciding that I wanted to re-do my website. So over the last couple of weeks or so I have been quite busy setting it all up and just finished uploading it all last night. :)
Please if you have a moment to go and take a look, browse around and perhaps even sign my current unloved looking guestbook? The link is http://www.cutedesigns.co.uk

Celebrating One Year at Etsy
Tomorrow on Sunday 9th November my Cute Designs Etsy Shop will turn one year old. :) I can't believe it's been a year already, it's gone so fast.
I've loved being a part of etsy over the last year though, it's been fun to make and sell things and get to see some of the other brilliant stuff being made out there with a great community. :)
To celebrate a year on etsy anyone who orders from my etsy shop from now up until the end of Sunday will receive a free gift with their order. :)

UK Handmade Online Sites
About a year or so ago when I first heard about etsy and starting selling it always bothered me that it was so American and everything being listed in US$ with no option to change currencies. I hoped that something similar in the UK would take off.
Well now there seems to be a few of them popping up all similar in the one respect that they are UK based, you can list in good ole £ and for selling your handmade crafts.
Of course they're all in beta stage at the moment. I feel like I want to support all of them because I want them all to do well as it can be hard getting started but will there be room for all of them? I guess time will tell but good luck to folksy, coriandr and myehive.
In trying to support all of them in some way. I have opened a shop on each of them, whether I'll manage to fill them is another story but if interested you can find me at:

New look to Cute Designs

I've been hard at work today and have just spent the last few hours working on Cute Designs to relaunch it with the new look. :) I'm so glad to have finished it!
Although you did get a sneak preview of the new look when I finished the new shop the other day. :D It's just nice to have it matching, up-to-date and looking all kawaii. :P
I think I should go and rest my eyes a little now. :P

A new shop. :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a little while. I had a few problems with my computer, like it deciding to go bang (literally) and die on me last week. :( I'm back up and running with a nice new computer now.
And as well as a new computer I also have a new shop which I have just opened to use alongside my etsy shop. It's just nice to have a shop that lists items in good old £ (etsy is US$) and where the customer doesn't need to register if they don't want to. So yeah, I thought I'd give it a go and hopefully people will get to find it and like my stuff. :) The address is http://www.amigurumi.co.uk

Crafteroo.co.uk
Just wanted to make a little post to help spread the word about Crafteroo. It's a new craft website which has firstly opened up as a forum but plans for more later. :) Why not stop by and join in the chat?
Just wanted to wish the creators well and hope the forum continues to go well too. :)

Amigurumi Forums?
On and off for a little while now I've been searching on the internet trying to find a nice amigurumi forum to join. I thought there would be loads out there to choose from but I can't find any!!!! Actually that's a lie, I found one but it wasn't in English so as nice as it looked I had to rule it out. :(
If anyone knows of any please can you recommend some links? I've found crochet forums of course although I didn't find many of them. There are a couple that are huuuuge with squillions of members and I was hoping to find something a little smaller and more amigurumi based. *sighs*
If it weren't for the fact I spent 5-6 years of my life running a pretty popular forum in the past I'd seriously consider starting my own but I told myself never again when I finally closed my past one so no..... all I want is to find a nice amigurumi forum! Surely there has to be one somewhere that's in English??? :P

Sale and a little update. :)

I have this week off work which I've been looking forward to and it's amazing what you can get done when you don't have to do the daily work grind. :)
I've been wanting to update my main website with the amigurumi adoption stuff but hadn't got round to it. I've just finished sorting it out and feel happy to have that done. :)
I've even got a little sale going on with the Felt Pin Badges there as a celebration, heehee. :D
